Building Permit InformationOur Department has a minimum of two weeks to process a COMPLETED application - this is an application that has all relevant documentation to process the permit, in our office.Construction is not to commence, nor will Inspections be scheduled, until you have your building permit in your hand and all fees have been paid in full. As required by the Ontario Building Code Act, application for a building permit must be accompanied with the following information:

Booking An Inspection: Please arrange inspections Two (2) days in advance by calling Paula Stamp at (705) 286-1260 Ext. 211. When calling the Office for an inspection, please give your name, permit number, your 911 address to the property, assessment roll number, telephone number and a preferred time for the inspection i.e. A.M. or P.M. Most people think that when they obtain a Building Permit and hire a contractor, their responsibility has ended. This is not so. It is imperative that the owner or contractor call for the required inspections however the onus is on the property owner to ensure that this is done. By-law InformationDog Control By-law Amendment: WHAT TO DO IF YOU CATCH A DOG THAT IS RUNNING AT LARGEIf the dog has a current Township of Minden Hills tag, please call the By-law Enforcement Department and they will attempt to contact the owner to facilitate the dog's return. In the absence of a current Township of Minden Hills tag, please contact either of the following organizations which may be willing to accept the animal.
