Community Clean-up Program
Sandbag Clean-Up Program
You can use the sand on your property should you like and place empty sandbags in with regular household waste. Empty sandbags are not recyclable.
If you cannot use the sand there are a couple of options starting Monday, May 4, 2026.
- Bring the sandbags to the Curling Club (50 Prentice St., Minden) and place them in the drop off area. In Irondale, the sandbags can be dropped off at the Irondale Community Centre (1004 Line Drive Rd.).
- Roadside pick-up of the sandbags will be starting on May 5, 2026. You are asked to move the sandbags to the roadside (not on the roadway). Sandbags are to be placed at the curb on the following streets: Invergordon Ave. & Bobcaygeon Rd., McKnight Dr. & Anson St., Orde St., St. Germaine St. & Prince St. and Water St.
- Should you be unable to move the sandbags, please contact the Township via email or call 705-286-1260. Outside of the area please contact the above for assistance. We will be working with community volunteers to assist people to move sandbags.
