Subject: Voice of Pride Exhibit at the Minden Hills Cultural Centre
Art has always been a way to express yourself and have your voice not just heard but seen. Throughout art history you can find powerful queer artists, pushing bounds, making statements, pouring out their emotions and making a living. From emerging to established queer artists, together let our Voice of Pride be seen.
Minden Pride in the Haliburton Highlands in partnership with the Minden Hills Cultural Centre is proud to present the first Voice of Pride exhibition at the Minden Hills Cultural Centre (Agnes Jamieson Gallery) in the Welch Room. The exhibition will run from August 13 – 31. An Opening Reception with the participating artists is scheduled for Tuesday, August 20 from 5 - 7 pm, one of the many exciting events taking place during the Minden Pride Festival. The exhibit is curated by Scott Walling, Walling Studios (www.wallingstudios.com).
The Agnes Jamieson Gallery is a public gallery with year-round visual exhibitions of local and regional art. Our Gallery is part of the Minden Hills Cultural Centre which also includes the Heritage Village & Nature Place Interpretive Centre and is fully accessible.
