SUBJECT: Strategic Plan Development – Your Input is Needed 

Your input is needed as we continue to shape the future of Minden Hills.

The community provided excellent feedback when we conducted the Community Engagement Program. This was the first phase of the work, gathering important information and insights from the community. We are now moving forward to the next phase which is to develop a 5 Year Strategic Plan for Minden Hills.

Your input is needed as we gather priorities, identify opportunities for growth and collaboration in Minden Hills throughout November 2025. We are looking for input from everyone as we develop a Strategic Plan for the future.

Mayor Bob Carter shared “A strategic plan provides a guide to Council. It identifies real goals that are important to all of us in the community. With this information, Council can prioritize resources laying the foundation to achieve the goals and help shape the future of Minden Hills.”

The Township of Minden Hills is working with Karen Jones Consulting Inc., to conduct the Strategic Plan sessions.

The information we are looking to obtain:

• Clarify community priorities;
• Identify opportunities for growth and collaboration; and
• Help develop the plan that will shape the future for Minden Hills.

Our consultant will be gathering information from the community and area businesses. You are invited to share your experiences and thoughts at the following sessions:

• Virtual Community Consultation – Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom - contact Lisa Fitton to register.
• Community Consultation (in-person) – Thursday, November 27, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena (55 Parkside St.) in Community Room 1.
• Business Consultation (in-person) Friday, November 28, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena (55 Parkside St.) in Community Room 1.
