Directed by Nova Ami and Velcrow Ripper, Incandescence is an immersive documentary that delves into the complex role of wildfires in our ecosystem. Through firsthand accounts from Indigenous Elders, first responders, and affected community members, the film explores the natural cycles of destruction, aftermath, and rebirth associated with fire. It highlights traditional Indigenous practices of controlled burns, illustrating how fire can be harnessed as a force for regeneration and renewal.
