Residents are advised that there has been increase in black bear activity in and around the Scotch Line Landfill over the past number of days.
The bears are not currently encroaching on the areas that are accessible to the public, however, if you encounter a bear(s) while passing through the landfill, Township Staff are asking that you DO NOT stop for any reasons...

The hours of operation at the SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena and Minden Community Centre have been temporarily modified for August and September. The modified closing times for the following dates are listed below:
- August 20: Closed at 4:00 pm
- August 21: Closed at 6:00 pm
- August 24: Closed at 4:00 pm
- August 25: Closed at 4:00 pm
- August 26: Closed at 4:00 pm
- August 27: Closed at 4:00 pm
- September 03: Closed at 4:00 pm
- September 04: Closed at 4:00 pm
- September 17: Building open from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm
