Bear Sightings in Minden Hills

The Township of Minden Hills has been advised that bear sightings near residential areas are continuing.
If you see a bear roaming / inspecting garbage near residential areas, please call the toll-free Bear Wise reporting line at 1-866-514-2327 or TTY at 705-945-7641. In case of emergency, call 911 or your local police if a bear poses an immediate threat to personal safety and exhibits threatening or aggressive behaviour.

The following facilities will have delayed opening hours on Wednesday, June 18, 2025:
- Township of Minden Hills Municipal Office (7 Milne St.);
- SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena – Administration Office (55 Parkside St.); and
- Minden Hills Fire - Administration Office (12418 Hwy. 35)
All the noted facilities will open later than normal to provide an opportunity for Municipal Staff to participate in a Staff Appreciation Breakfast.

Important Tax Information
The 2025 Final tax bills were mailed up until June 10, 2025. If you have not received your bill(s) prior to the July 18, 2025, due date, please contact our office at 705-286-1260.
The Final tax bill will be payable in two installments: July 18 and September 19, 2025. The bills are calculated using your property’s MPAC assessed value and the appropriate tax rate. The tax rates are available on our website at Property Tax - Tax Rates.

The Township of Minden Hills is advising residents that Snowdon Park trails are now open and that there will be ongoing trail maintenance.The Orange Trail foot bridge remains closed at this time, as the Township is working through the process for replacing with the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks.
