Please Note that the County of Haliburton will be holding a Special Council Meeting on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 9:00 AM to receive a delegation from Haliburton Highlands Health Services (HHHS) regarding the Minden Emergency Room Consolidation Plan/Reorganization.

Please be advised that Spring Load Restrictions within the Township of Minden Hills will be lifted effective Friday May 12, 2023.
Vehicles are now permitted to haul full, legal loads.

MNRF Bulletin - Water Conditions Statement, Water Safety May 11, 2023

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) have issued a Bulletin - Watershed Conditions Statement, Water Safety for May 11, 2023 for the Bracebridge, Minden, Parry Sound District including the Burnt and Gull River Watersheds.
WATERSHED CONDITIONS STATEMENT – WATER SAFETY: indicates that high flows, melting ice or other factors could be dangerous for such users as boaters, anglers and swimmers but flooding is not expected.

SUBJECT: Wastewater Treatment Plant Tertiary Bypass ENDED
Please be advised that tertiary sand filter bypass at the Minden Wastewater Treatment Plant has ended.
Residents are reminded that any water taken from a surface water source (such as a lake or river) must always be adequately treated to remove pathogens prior to using as a potable water source.
Updates regarding this bypass event will be posted on the Township website.
