Sports Fields and Courts

There are currently three baseball diamonds in Minden. Two are located directly behind the SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena and the third is located in the Minden Fairgrounds.

The Dawson Hamilton Memorial Outdoor Skating Rink will be located at the Cultural Centre located at 176 Bobcaygeon Road in the Centre Grounds. 

This is a self-regulated outdoor rink that offers recreational skating only. No sports equipment is permitted on the ice surface. The rink is available on a first come, first serve basis while weather permits. We highly recommended that all participants wear the appropriate safety helmet when using the rink. The hours of operation can vary due to weather conditions.

The Township of Minden accepts no responsibility for injury or damage.

Located beside the tennis courts at 55 Parkside Street, the fenced shuffleboard courts are run on a first come, first serve basis, and are available typically late spring into early fall. Hours of operation are subject to change.

Public washrooms are available in the upper level of the SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena. 

The skate park features multiple ramps and rails for all to enjoy on skateboards or bikes. Whether you are just learning or have some skills, there is an element you can try. The park is located at 55 Parkside Street and is next to a trail that connects to the Minden Boardwalk and is near the village of Minden.

The skateboard park in the Township of Minden Hills is unsupervised. You may use the area at your own risk. Children under the age of 10 should be accompanied by an adult at all times.

We strongly recommend that skaters and riders wear protective gear at all times, including:

• Helmets
• Knee pads
• Elbow pads
• Wrist guards

The LED lit, double tennis courts are available on a first come first serve basis and are located at 55 Parkside Street. Courts are available late spring into early fall, hours of operation are subject to change.
