Council serves a four year term and the election process includes a municipal-wide voter selection of the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Councillor-at-Large and Ward Councillor positions.
The Municipality is broken into three sub-geographical regions called Wards. The Wards represent the Townships that amalgamated to become the Corporation of the Township of Minden Hills:
- Ward 1 being the former Townships of Anson, Hindon and Minden (2 Councillors)
- Ward 2 being the former Township of Lutterworth (1 Councillor)
- Ward 3 being the former Township of Snowdon (1 Councillor)
