    SUBJECT: Notice of Wastewater Treatment Plant Tertiary Bypass 

    Please be advised that due to high flows caused by rain and spring freshet, the Minden Wastewater Treatment Plant began a tertiary sand filter bypass on Sunday, March 16, 2025. All wastewater treated at the plant is still receiving primary and secondary treatment and disinfection prior to discharge.

    The Ministry of Natural Resources have issued a Bulletin - Flood Outlook – Bracebridge-Minden-Parry Sound District. The MNRF is advising area residents that a Watershed Conditions Statement - Flood Outlook is in effect in the District until Friday, March 21, 2025.

    Persons contravening this regulation may be prosecuted under Section 122 of The Highway Traffic Act.
