    The Township of Minden Hills remains in a state of emergency due to aftereffects of the ice storm as well as rain/wind conditions forecasted for this coming week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday). This weather has the potential to impact on our high-water levels in area lakes and rivers.

    The Township of Minden Hills remains in a state of emergency due to aftereffects of the ice storm as well as rain forecasted for this coming weekend that may impact our high water levels in area lakes and rivers.

    The Ministry of Natural Resources has issued the following bulletins for Bracebridge-Minden-Parry Sound District on April 24, 2025:

    1. The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) – Bracebridge-Minden-Parry Sound District is advising area residents that a Flood Watch bulletin is in effect for the Black, Gull, and Muskoka River Watersheds in the District until Friday, May 2, 2025.

    1. The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) – Bracebridge-Minden-Parry Sound District is advising area residents that a Flood Watch bulletin is in effect for the Black, Gull, and Muskoka River Watersheds in the District until Friday, April 18, 2025. The Flood Watch will affect residents within the MNR Bracebridge-Minden-Parry Sound.
  • Ice Storm Update from Mayor Carter, April 11, 2025

    Today is day 14 of the declared emergency in Minden Hills following the late March ice storm that caused widespread power and communication network outages. Our efforts are continuing and at today’s meeting it was reported there are still 700+ residents without power in our community.
