Subject: Family Day Open House at the Minden Hills Cultural Centre on Monday, February 16, 2026

The Minden Hills Cultural Centre Foundation invites the community to a Family Day Open House on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., offering an afternoon of creativity, learning, and family-friendly activities at the Minden Hills Cultural Centre.

Highlights of the event include hands-on nature-themed arts and crafts at Nature’s Place, and a special interpretive program led by local entomologist Basil Conlin. Conlin will bring insect specimen displays and share insights into the relationships between insects, humans, and the environment.

The Agnes Jamieson Gallery will be open for visitors to enjoy an exhibit featuring work from the permanent collection, including André Lapine, as well as new acquisitions.

Food will be available on site, with chili and hot dogs generously provided by the Rotary Club of Minden. Visitors are also encouraged to bring skates to enjoy the Dawson Hamilton Outdoor Memorial Rink located in the centre of the Heritage Village, weather permitting. All activities are suitable for all ages. Admission is by donation, and no pre-registration is required.

The Minden Hills Cultural Centre is located at 176 Bobcaygeon Road, Minden, Ontario and is open year-round from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m.  to 4:00 p.m.
