The purpose of the Public Meeting will be to consider a proposed Minor Variance Applications PLMV2026041 (Brake & Cain) and PLMV2026042 (Mulcahy) to the Township of Minden Hills Zoning By-law pursuant to Section 45 of the Planning Act.

Township of Minden Hills will hold a Public Meeting for a Township initiated Official Plan Amendment, related to delegated authority pursuant to Sections 39.2(1) and 39.2(2) of the Planning Act, R.S.O., 1990, as amended.

The Township of Minden Hills wishes to inform all residents and visitors that the Municipal Dock located on Water Street will remain closed to the public until further notice.

The Peck Street Boat Launch has been temporarily established to provide residents and visitors with a location to exit the water on Gull River during the 2026 season.

The Township of Minden Hills would like to advise that JRS5 TV Productions Ltd. will be filming in Minden Hills from August 27 to 29, 2026 with preparation for filming activities starting August 20, 2026. 

The TV Series Honcho will be film exterior scenes at Harrington Park, Minden Whitewater Preserve: 10870 Horseshoe Lake Road, Minden, ON K0M 2K0 & Whitewater Ontario 1020 Bethel Road, Minden.

Please be advised that the Clear Lake Road Culvert project work will commence on August 17, 2026. 

Users of Clear Lake Road are being advised to expect delays and reduced lanes while this work is being completed.

Community members are invited to learn about options for a potential restructuring of the governance framework for the County of Haliburton and its four lower-tier municipalities and provide feedback during a series of town hall meetings from Aug. 25 to 31.
