Notice: Adoption of 2026 Water and Wastewater Rate Budget and By-laws

Please take notice that Council of the Corporation of the Township of Minden Hills will consider adopting Water and Wastewater Rate By-laws related to the 2026 Municipal Budget.

This notice is to also advise all Utility Customers of the new rates which came into effect January 1, 2026 for the 2026 billing year.

• Water—$3.62 per cubic meter
  Minimum amount $148.42 or $593.68 per year for < 41m³
• Wastewater—$4.50 per cubic meter
  Minimum amount of $211.50 or $846.00 per year for < 47m³
  
  Total minimum charge is $359.92 per quarter = $1,439.68 annually
• Lutterworth—$331.35 per quarter or $1,325.40 per year

By-laws will be reviewed for adoption on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 9:00 AM during Regular Meeting of Council  located at 7 Milne Street, Minden ON.

The proposed By-laws to be considered are as follows:

• By-law 26-18 Water Rates - Lutterworth
• By-law 26-19 Water Rates - Minden
• By-law 26-20 Wastewater Rates - Minden

Members of the Public wishing to observe Council proceedings may do so by attending in person or watching electronically via the live-stream link, available at the top of the Agenda located on the Minden Hills CivicWeb Portal at https://mindenhills.civicweb.net/Portal/ .
