Power Outage and Hydro One Contact Information

The storm has caused widespread power outages. Township representatives have been in contact with Hydro One and they confirmed the Hydro One teams are working diligently to restore power to all areas impacted by the storm. We are sharing contact details and safety reminders from Hydro One. 

Hydro One shared: Crews are working as safely and quickly as possible to restore power to customers. 

• Outages can be reported by texting 92887 (WATTS), through the company’s outage map and app, or by calling 1-800-434-1235.  View current estimated time of restoration on the outage map or app. Website: www.hydroone.com/power-outages-and-safety/outage-tools
• Outage tools are updated every 10 minutes as information comes in from crews on the ground.
• It’s important to remember that the estimated time of restoration may change when crews arrive onsite and start repairs based on any additional damage/repairs required. 

Safety is the priority.    

• If you spot a fallen line, it’s critical to keep at least 10 metres back – even if it does not appear to be live. Report it to Hydro One at 1-800-434-1235.  
• If you’re using a generator, ensure it is outside and away from any windows or ventilation.    

If there is flooding inside your home that is starting to reach electrical outlets, baseboard heaters or furnace, call Hydro One at 1-800-434-1235 to have power safely turned off. Water and electricity do not mix. Do not enter any flooded areas, such as the basement, until power is disconnected.
