Subject: Programming Activities at the Minden Hills Cultural Centre this Winter 2026

The Cultural Centre will be offering the following winter programs for the community. Pre-registration is not required.

The UnFinished Objects (UFO) craft group meets twice a month in the Welch Room at the Minden Hills Cultural Centre. Bring your projects and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with fellow crafters. Sessions run two Fridays a month from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Upcoming dates in the winter and spring include: January 9 & 23, February 6 & 20, March 6 & 20, April 10 & 24, May 8 & 22, June 12 & 26, 2026.

In partnership with the Haliburton County Public Library and the National Film Board of Canada, the Cultural Centre will present three free Documentary Screening Events this winter:

• Sovereign Soil (2025) - January 15 at 1:00 p.m.
• Speakers for the Dead (2000) - February 5 at 1:00 p.m.
•  And We Knew How to Dance: Women in World War I (1994) - March 5 at 1:00 p.m.

During PA Days on Friday, January 30 and February 27, 2026 families are invited to enjoy seasonal crafts, exhibits, and hands-on activities at Nature’s Place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A free movie screening will also be shown in the Welch Room from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.

Join our Lunar New Year Crafts on Saturday, February 14, 2026 to celebrate the Lunar New Year with drop-in activities. Visitors of all ages are welcome to come and create festive decorations inspired by the Year of the Horse and learn about associated traditions.

The Minden Hills Cultural Centre is located at 176 Bobcaygeon Road, Minden, Ontario and is open year-round from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Minden Hills Museum & Heritage Village and Nature’s Place will be open for the season on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
