Summer Students - Parks
We are currently accepting resumes for Summer Students (Parks) to join the Community Services Department team for the 2026 summer season, April 27 to August 29, 2026.
These existing vacancies are an excellent opportunity for students who enjoy working outdoors and are interested in parks and recreation. Parks Students provide support and a variety of maintenance operations for the Community Services Department.
Hours will be based on 40 hours/week and involve variable shifts. The rate of pay is
$18.00/hour, pending 2026 budget and grant funding approval.
To be eligible, individuals must be returning to school in the fall of 2026 and be between the ages of 16 and 30. A minimum valid Ontario “G2” driver’s license, green patch safety footwear and a clean Criminal Record and Judicial Matters police check are also required for this position.
Preference will be given to those with experience in lawn care, gardening, painting, cleaning, or related combination. Good public speaking skills and ability to work independently are required.
