Subject: Waste Facilities Closed and Programs Postponed – March 11, 2026
Due to poor weather conditions and power outages the Township of Minden Hills is advising of closures and postponing of programming.
- Ingoldsby and Little Gull Waste Disposal sites will be closed on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
- All programming scheduled for Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the Township facilities including SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena and the Minden Hills Cultural Centre are currently postponed due to power outages.
Staff will be monitoring the restoration of power and will be notifying of the resumption of programming. Updates will be posted as they become available on our website (www.mindenhills.ca.news) and social media.
Hydro One has shared that their Teams are actively responding to the outages and estimated time of restoration will be provided once crews have assessed any damage. Outage information can be found Outage Tools | Hydro One.
In the event of outages, it is critical that customers and the public remain away from any fallen power lines—at least 10 metres back or the length of a school bus—and report them to 911 and Hydro One. Customers using generators should ensure they are placed outside and away from windows or ventilation.
