The Township of Minden Hills declared a State of Emergency on March 31, 2025 in response to the severe ice storm that hit our area and the escalating impacts.

The S.G. Nesbitt Memorial Arena / Community Centre (55 Parkside St., Minden) is open 24 hours a day during this emergency. April 1 to October 31 of every year is considered fire season. During fire season the fire restrictions are from 7:00 AM till 7:00 PM daily (daytime burning). No person shall start a fire outdoors during the restricted time in fire season.
