The 2022 Municipal and School Board Election is October 24, 2022.

Where and How to Vote 

Paper Ballot (in person) Voting

Eligible voters can visit the upper level of the S.G Nesbitt Memorial Arena and Minden Community Centre on Monday, October 24, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM to cast their paper ballot vote.

Online and Telephone Voting

Eligible voters can also choose to vote online or by telephone at anytime until the end of Election Day, October 24, 2022, ending at 8:00 PM. Please use your Voter Information Letter, which you received by mail, to vote online or by telephone.

An internet voting station is currently available at the Minden Hills Administration Office, located at 7 Milne Street, Minden, during regular business hours, excluding Election Day.  

An internet voting station will be available on Election Day at the S.G Nesbit Memorial Arena and Minden Community Centre.

Telephone voting is not available at these locations.

Help is Available

The election staff at the Minden Hills Administration Office are available Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM:

  • If you need to be added to the Voters List
  • If you have questions about your Voter Information Letter
  • If you would like to vote online using the internet voting station

If you need assistance on Election Day, please visit the S.G Nesbitt Memorial Arena and Minden Community Centre between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

Come Prepared

When coming to vote by internet or in person, please bring your Voter Information Letter and one piece of ID that has your name and address on it. Any identification listed on the Province of Ontario’ acceptable document list for voter identification will be accepted.

Election Day Results

The Polls will close at 8:00 PM on Election Day, Monday October 24, 2022. Votes will then be tallied and the unofficial results will be posted in the lower lobby of the S.G Nesbitt Memorial Arena and on the Minden Hills corporate website at www.mindenhills.ca. The Clerk will declare and post the official results on the Minden Hills corporate website at www.mindenhills.ca as soon as possible after voting day.

Are You on the Voters List?

If you would like to confirm that you are on the Voter’s List, make additions, deletions and/or corrections, please contact the Clerks Department at 705-286-1260 ext. 9, email elections@mindenhills.ca or visit the Municipal Administration Office, located at 7 Milne Street, Minden, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. When visiting the office please:

  • Fill out and bring the Application to Amend the Voters’ List Form
  • Provide satisfactory identification for identity verification  

Once added to the Voters’ List, you will receive a Voter Information Letter containing a Personal Identification Number (PIN).

Using your PIN, you can now vote during the voting period. 

Voter Information Letters

Voter information letters were mailed in September.

If you lose your Voter Information Letter, do not receive it in the mail, or do not have access to it, please contact the Clerks Department at 705-286-1260 ext. 9 or email elections@mindenhills.ca. Identification will need to be provided, documentation completed and oath taken with the Election Official before a new Voter Information Letter and Personal Identification Number (PIN) will be issued.

Voting Dates

Advance Voting Day is October 8, 2022 and Voting Day is October 24, 2022.
