Waste Disposal Cards

If you have recently purchased a property in Minden Hills, your Waste Disposal Card or Waste Site Access Card will be mailed to the mailing address on file. 

Please allow 2-3 weeks for the delivery of your Waste Disposal Card or Waste Site Access Card.

If you have not received your card within 2-3 weeks of taking ownership of your property, please confirm the following:

1. Check with your lawyer to ensure they notified the Township of the change in ownership for the property.
2. Contact our Tax Department to check if your mailing address is correct in our system.

If you have lost or damaged your Waste Disposal Card or Waste Site Access Card, you will need to fill out our Request for Replacement Waste Disposal Card Form. You can also contact the Public Works department.

If you rent a home or apartment in Minden Hills for full-time residency, please contact your landlord regarding waste disposal.

Waste Disposal Cards are not issued to occupants of sites within a trailer park. Please contact your park owner for assistance on disposing of waste.

Contractors may apply for a Contractor Charge Account. Please contact the Public Works Department with any questions or to request the form. 

Contractor Authorization Permit

Contractors performing work on behalf of a Minden Hills resident who wish to dispose of materials at the Scotch Line Landfill will need to have a valid waste disposal card or have a completed Contractor Authorization Permit. Contractor Authorization Permits are also available at the Scotch Line Landfill.

Contractors may be asked to verify any building permits associated with the property, where applicable. Please visit the Building Permits page for more information about building/renovation/demolition permits.

Contractors will not be permitted to dispose of materials at the Scotch Line Landfill without presenting a valid waste disposal card or completed Contractor Authorization Permit.

The Township may contact property owners for confirmation that the material is sourced within the Township of Minden Hills and that the contractor is actively performing work on behalf of the property owner.
