Subject: Celebrate Ontario Culture Days at the Minden Hills Cultural Centre on September 26, 2026

We are pleased to be part of Ontario Culture Days. Culture Days is a province-wide festival of FREE arts, culture and heritage experiences. For 2026, Haliburton Highlands has been selected as a Provincial Festival Hub! The event is designed to encourage creativity, participation, and community connection.

Join us at the Minden Hills Cultural Centre on Saturday, September 26 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for a day of arts, culture, music, and community participation. Visitors can explore the Agnes Jamieson Gallery's latest exhibit, tour the Museum Village, and explore Nature’s Place, while enjoying a variety of free drop-in cultural activities and heritage demonstrations throughout the site. Participate in music, art, nature activities, storybook readings, guided experiences, and community cultural activities ~ fun for all ages! 

Nature's Place Interpretive Centre showcases interactive exhibits that reveal the unique ecological environment of Haliburton County. Learn about local pollinators, the Minden Riverwalk and Boardwalk, the Apple Tree Identification Project, and local flora and fauna including wolves!

The Minden Hills Museum & Heritage Village features historic buildings with living history exhibits highlighting life in the Minden area at the turn of the 20th century. Activities include printing press demonstrations, Victorian Tea served in the Bowron House (11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.), loom and spinning wheel demonstrations, and children's storytelling in the church.
