Please find information from the Province of Ontario regarding the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians program and the Information Session the province is hosting on October 14, 2026. Information and questions regarding the program should be directed to the province disasterassistance@ontario.ca. 

Homeowners and tenants in the designated activation areas for the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians (DRAO) program who experienced flooding from the overflow of lakes, rivers, or creeks in April 2026 are invited to attend a virtual information session with DRAO program staff to learn more about the program.

Location: Microsoft Teams Virtual Session

This activation applies to flooding resulting from the overflow lakes, rivers, or creeks in parts of the following municipalities:

• Township of Minden Hills (Gull River)

Session Information

During this session, eligible applicants will learn more about the DRAO program and application process, including eligibility requirements, required documentation, what to expect during the review process, and available supports. A question-and-answer period will follow the presentation.

The deadline to register is 4:00 pm (EST) on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

Important Information

• Once your registration has been reviewed and confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email. Instructions for joining the Microsoft Teams session on October 14, 2026, will be sent approximately 48 hours before the event.
• Small business and farms, and not-for-profit organizations located within the activation area that have question about the application process may contact the program at: disasterassistance@ontario.ca.
