Subject: Filming Notification – August 27 to 29, 2026
The Township of Minden Hills would like to advise that JRS5 TV Productions Ltd. will be filming in Minden Hills from August 27 to 29, 2026 with preparation for filming activities starting August 20, 2026. Please see below the filming notification from the production company:
We plan to film Exterior scenes for the TV Series Honcho at Harrington Park, Minden Whitewater Preserve: 10870 Horseshoe Lake Road, Minden, ON K0M 2K0 & Whitewater Ontario 1020 Bethel Road, Minden, ON K0M 2K0.
Prep: August 20 – 26 between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., August 27 & 28 between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Filming On: August 27, 28 & 29 between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
Wrap: August 30 – September 2 between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Weather Cover: August 26 – September 4, 2026

Production vehicles, technical equipment and support activities may be located within approved areas including:
- Harrington Park - 10870 Horseshoe Lake Road, Minden, ON K0M 2K0
- Whitewater Preserve Campground - 1020 Bethel Road, Minden, ON K0M 2K0
- Roger Parsons Centre and approved private property - 1020 Bethel Road, Minden, ON K0M 2K0
- Minden Fairgrounds for Trailers and Crew Parking – 2048 Fleming Road, Minden, ON K0M 2K0
- Horseshoe Lake Road (County Road 20), approved trails and work areas adjacent to the Gull River.
Prep includes equipment deliveries, technical rigging, lighting installation and set preparation. Work areas may begin being reserved on August 20 at 7:00 a.m. Vehicles and machinery may arrive and depart daily, and approved equipment may remain secured on site between work periods.
We will begin reserving the Parking spaces with cones on August 20 at 7:00 a.m., with vehicles arriving on August 20 at 7:00 a.m. throughout the day each day. We will continue to use the above noted streets through the filming days of August 27, 28 & 29 and depart by September 2, 2026 by 7:00 p.m. Weather Cover for this work would extend till September 4, 2026.
Temporary lane occupancy and intermittent traffic control may occur on Horseshoe Lake Road to support lift rigging, machinery movement, equipment deliveries and loading. Public trails, park and campground facilities will remain open whenever safely possible; brief restrictions may occur during stunt activity or equipment movement.
Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
Activities are being coordinated with the Township of Minden Hills, County of Haliburton and local site partners.
