Notice of a Public Meeting Concerning a Zoning By-Law Amendment
Take Notice that the Township of Minden Hills has received a complete application to amend the Township’s Zoning By-law.
The Township of Minden Hills will be holding a Public Meeting, as required under the Planning Act, and as follows:
Date: Thursday, May 28, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM
Location: Hybrid Meeting (In-person and Electronic via Zoom)
The purpose of the Public Meeting will be to consider Zoning By-law Amendment Application PLZBA2026015 pursuant to Section 34 of the Planning Act as shown below.
PLZBA20260015 (Barry):
The subject property is zoned ‘Rural Residential Exception Nine (RR-9) and is located within the Rural and Environmental Protection designations of the Township’s Official Plan. The zoning by-law amendment is submitted to fulfill conditions of consent application H-020-25, which would serve to sever a portion of 4951 Gelert Road for the purpose of a lot addition benefitting 4939 Gelert Road. The application would amend provisions of the existing ‘Rural Residential Exception Nine (RR-9)’ zone on the retained lot, to recognize a side yard setback to the existing dwelling of 6.4 metres and permit a front yard setback to the existing garage of 10.5 metres. The proposed amendment would also serve to rezone the severed lands from ‘Rural Residential Exception Nine (RR-9)’ to ‘Rural (RU)’ to achieve uniform zoning on the resulting enlarged lot.
