Subject: Programming Activities at the Minden Hills Cultural Centre Fall 2026

The Minden Hills Museum & Heritage Village and Nature’s Place Interpretive Centre will be open Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. until Saturday, October 10, 2026.

Regular weekly Drop-in Programs, including Toddler Discovery Zones on Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Hands-on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. will also continue until October 10, 2026.

The Museum & Heritage Village and Nature’s Place will be closed for the season as of October 11, 2026.

A special PA Day Activity takes place on Friday, November 20, 2026 featuring Christmas-themed crafts at Nature’s Place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and a free screening of Elf (2003) at 1:00 p.m. inside the Welch Room.

The UnFinished Objects (UFO) Crafter Group welcomes participants to bring their unfinished knitting, crochet, quilting, sewing, or other craft projects to work on in a relaxed and supportive setting. They will meet in the Welch Room from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Fridays, September 18, October 2, 16, 30, November 13, 27, and December 11, 2026.

In partnership with the Haliburton County Public Library and the National Film Board of Canada, the Cultural Centre will present four free Documentary Screenings this fall:

• Birth of a Family (2017) — September 24 at 1:00 p.m. & 5:00 p.m.
• The Nest (2005) — October 8 at 1:00 p.m.
• The Pacifist Who Went to War (2002) — November 5 at 1:00 p.m.
• Griefwalker (2008) - December 3 at 1:00 p.m.

The Minden Hills Cultural Centre is located at 176 Bobcaygeon Road, Minden, Ontario and is open year-round from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
