The Township of Minden Hills is a lower tier municipality within Haliburton County. The Township is predominantly a rural community consisting of full-time residents as well as a large seasonal population. The main settlement area is Minden Village, with additional communities such as Gelert, Lochlin, Irondale and Lutterworth comprising the majority of the residents.

As per The Township of Minden Hills Council decision in the 2026 capital budget for emergency backup generator to be installed at SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena, 55 Parkside Street, Minden, ON K0M 2K0. The Township of Minden Hills is seeking tenders from qualified individuals to supply and install emergency backup generator to operate the full facility capabilities (ice plant, elevator, utilities and heating/cooling) at the SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena.
