2024 Capital Budget Highlights

Highlights of the 2024 Capital Budget of $3.85 million include:

  • Modernizing our Landfill with Phase 1 of the Scotch Line Transfer Station – $1,400,000.
  • Command Vehicle for the Fire Services - $100,000.
  • Continue investment in Public Works infrastructure with replacement of the Mash Creek Twin Culverts - $395,000.
  • Road improvements with continuation of resurfacing - $1,385,250.
  • Repair to Snowden Park Foot Bridge - $50,000.
  • Remediation and reopening of downtown washrooms - $60,000.

For every $1.00 of property taxes levied in 2024:

  • $0.52 is kept by the Township to provide local programs and services
  • $0.30 is sent to the County of Haliburton
  • $0.18 is sent to the local school boards
