2026 Capital Budget Highlights
Highlights of the 2026 Capital Budget of $7.6 million include:
- Repair of damaged sidewalks and installation of a crosswalk in the village core – $500,000.
- Continued investment in road improvements with resurfacing/double surface treatment - $1,277,795.
- Investment in an Enterprise Resource Planning Software which will include a resident portal, enabling residents to securely access their accounts, view bills, and make payments online - $200,000.
- Implementation of a new organic recycling program - $19,500.
- Continued investment in the Scotch Line Transfer Station project - $1,900,000.
For every $1.00 of property taxes levied in 2026:
- $0.53 is retained by the Township to provide local programs and services such as roads, fire protection, parks, recreation, waste management and municipal administration
- $0.31 is remitted to the County of Haliburton to support county-wide services including paramedic services, libraries, tourism and county roads
- $0.16 is distributed to the local school boards to support education services within the community
