In response to a major rainfall warning in effect in our area, the Township of Minden Hills has declared a Significant Weather Event at 5:00 p.m. local time that will impact travel and services throughout the municipality. The Township of Minden Hills is advising residents of the following road closures. Residents who must use these roads to access their homes are exempt, however drivers should use caution, limit trips and limit the weight of vehicles.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) have issued a Bulletin - Watershed Conditions Statement - Water Safety for the Bracebridge, Minden, Parry Sound District  including the Burnt and Gull River Watersheds on March 7, 2024.

WATERSHED CONDITIONS STATEMENT – WATER SAFETY: indicates that high flows, melting ice or other factors could be dangerous for such users as boaters, anglers, and swimmers but flooding is not expected.
