The Township of Minden Hills has initiated a number of amendments to the Official Plan and Comprehensive Zoning By-law. For more information, please visit the Township initiated Amendments section of our Current Development Applications webpage.
Please be advised that due to heavy rain, the Minden Wastewater Treatment Plant began a tertiary sand filter bypass on Tuesday July 21, 2026 at approximately 2:00 p.m. All wastewater treated at the plant is still receiving primary and secondary treatment and disinfection prior to discharge.
The purpose of the Public Meeting will be to consider a proposed Minor Variance Applications PLMV2026033 (Gustafson) and PLMV2026034 (Scharnweber-Carter) to the Township of Minden Hills Zoning By-law pursuant to Section 45 of the Planning Act.
We are pleased to welcome glass artist Brad Copping to the Agnes Jamieson Gallery. His exhibit As the Shoreline Disappears will be on display July 23 to September 19, 2026. The opening reception and artist talk will take place on Saturday, July 25 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Take Notice there will be a Special Meeting of Council held Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 9:00 AM in the Council Chambers, located at 7 Milne Street, Minden, ON.
The Township of Minden Hills is opening a Cooling Centre at the SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena (55 Parkside St., Minden) in the Lobby area, on Monday, June 29 to Sunday, July 5, 2026.
The Township of Minden Hills advises that there will be tree removal at the Lochlin Community Centre property, 4713 Gelert Road (County Road 1), Tuesday June 30, 2026.
The Minden Hills Museum & Heritage Village and Nature’s Place offers new and returning drop-in programming activities and events throughout July. All programs take place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Pre-registration is not required, and admission is by donation. The programs are best suited for ages 5 to 12.
